THE MAYR CURE

This cure allows you to rest your digestive system, cleanse your body and teach you how to have a healthy diet for the rest of your life.

The Mayr Cure was founded in the early 1900s by Franz Xavier Mayr in Austria, also nicknamed “The Cure”. Based on the premise that a healthy gut will lead to overall improved health, the cure’s personalized diet plan is based on 4 basic principles: Rest, Cleansing, Training, and Supplementing. This personalized protocol leads to purification, detoxification, and renewal of the body.

In order to correctly follow the cure, it’s recommended to spend a few weeks at the Mayr Cure spa in order to consult with physicians and follow-up on all necessary treatments. There is the Original FX Mayr located in Austria, and there are also other locations that offer the cure. Otherwise, there are books which can be used to follow the cure at home.

The Mayr cure starts as a diet consisting essentially of liquids, and, depending on the doctor’s recommendations, other light and fat-free meals consisting of dairy products, bread, steamed vegetables, meat, and fish. It is recommended to combine the cure with exercise, massage, mud therapy, and thermotherapy, depending on your doctor’s diagnosis.

Advantages of this cure:

  • Detoxification of the body
  • Cleansing of the body’s microcirculation
  • Elimination of overwork in the digestive system
  • Visible anti-aging effects on skin and hair
  • Increased mood: after the first phase (in 2-3 days), fatigue and irritability taper off, concentration ability increases, and positivity increases
